Types of Study (Australian Qualification Framework)
Australia has a national standard for qualifications. The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a unified system of 13 national qualifications in schools, vocational education and training (TAFE and private providers) and the higher education sector (Universities).
The qualifications are:
Senior Secondary Certificate of Education; |

The AQF links together all these qualifications and thus offers a quality-assured national system of educational recognition which promotes lifelong learning and a seamless and diverse education and training system.
Undergraduate study
We advise overseas clients on how to gain a student visa for study at the undergraduate level whether it is at University or at Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.
Undergraduate level study is normally undertaken between secondary school (High School) and postgraduate study.
